Leonard Bernstein's Mass
8 p.m., Ingram Hall
Vanderbilt Opera Theatre, Vanderbilt University Orchestra and the Vanderbilt Choirs present the Blair School’s most ambitious opera production to date: Leonard Bernstein’s Mass.
Commissioned by Jacqueline Kennedy for the grand opening of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and featuring lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (of Wicked fame), Mass is a theatrical celebration of contemporary life and all its struggles and triumphs. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience of a rarely performed masterpiece.
Please make sure to arrive promptly for these performances. Due to the unique character and short run time of this production, there will be absolutely no late seating.
Sponsored by the Mary Cortner Ragland Master Series Fund and presented with gratitude to the parent of a Blair graduate for his generous support
