Poet Bruce Beasley will read from his latest work of poetry.

Bruce Beasley is the author of collections of poems, Theophobia, The Corpse Flower: New and Selected PoemsLord Brain, Summer Mystagogia, and The Creation. Published books include: Spirituals and Signs and AbominationsHe has won fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Artist Trust of Washington and three Pushcart Prizes in poetry. 

Each semester the Gertrude Vanderbilt and Harold S. Vanderbilt Visiting Writers Series brings writers to campus to read from their work and visit classes. We're proud of our reading series, an extraordinary program that gives our students, faculty and the community at large a chance to meet and talk with some of the best writers of our day.
