Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory will be host the annual Seyfert Lecture with guest speaker Dr. Peter Michelson, professor of Physics at Stanford University, California, and the Principal Investigator for the Large Area Telescope on the Fermi spacecraft. Dr. Michelson's talk will be "Searching for New Physics with the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope" in which he will discuss the search for dark matter and the search for gravitational radiation through the use of neutron stars and pulsars. The program will consist of an ~hour-long talk with a question-answer session following. There will be no telescope viewing afterward.
