Music On Film: Amadeus

The Blair School partners with the Nashville Symphony for the second year to screen a music-related movie, in conjunction with a Symphony performance. This year, the Blair School is pleased to bring you Amadeus, Miloš Forman's 1984 masterpiece about the lives of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his bitterly jealous rival, Antonio Salieri. The movie won 40 major awards the year it was released; its eight Academy Awards included the coveted Best Picture title. It has since been recognized as one of the classics of American cinema.

The screening will be introduced by Blair School and Nashville Symphony musician Roger Wiesmeyer. The screening is held in conjunction with the Nashville Symphony's Mozart Masterpieces concerts, April 25-26 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, which feature guest pianist Benedetto Lupo and guest conductor Christopher Seaman.
