Come join us for a series of educational sessions on health disparity research, biostatistics, scientific manuscript writing, and systematic literature reviews.

May 22: Identifying Social Determinants of Health
Rohini Chakravarthy, MD/MBA Candidate

As a research fellow at the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance, Ms. Chakravarthy will discuss using publicly available census data, like the Area Deprivation Index, to predict health outcomes. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Vanderbilt's student-run Shade Tree Clinic, which collaborates with Meharry's student-run Salt Wagon Clinic. Both provide medical, legal and social services to uninsured patients. After graduation in 2020, she hopes to pursue a career in value-based healthcare to expand programs for housing and education.
