Please join the Federalist Society as we host Senator Luther Strange to discuss the role of State Attorneys General.This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be served.
Luther Strange earned his BA and JD degrees from Tulane University and served as Alabama's 47th Attorney General, as well as a United States Senator from Alabama. Prior to entering public service, Senator Strange worked at private practice, as a partner at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP and as founder of Strange LLC.
Commentary will be provided by Professor Brian Fitzpatrick. Professor Fitzpatrick graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame as well first in his class from Harvard Law School before clerking for Judge Diarmuid O'Scannlain on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Justice Antonin Scalia on the U.S. Supreme Court. After his clerkships, Professor Fitzpatrick practiced commercial and appellate litigation for several years at Sidley Austin in Washington, D.C., and served as Special Counsel for Supreme Court Nominations to U.S. Senator John Cornyn.
Visitors should park in the Terrace Place Garage, spaces 41-92, at the corner of 21st Ave. South and Terrace Place, or the Wesley Place Garage, spaces 52-170, at the corner of 21st Ave. South and Scarritt Place. Parking costs range from $4.00 to $12.00 at these garages. Both are within walking distance of the law school.
