POPE invites you to join us for our fourth PATH Dialogue program and dinner Thursday, January 24th from 7:15-8:30 p.m. in One Magnolia Circle Rm. 241, with guest Chris Purcell, Ed.D.

Our PATH Dialogue Series (Purpose, Authenticity, Transformation, & Head/Heart) provides a space for students, faculty, staff and administrators to share and be inspired by the diverse "paths" of Peabody alumni, faculty and fellows through education, dialogue and reflection.

Chris has worked for LGBTQI equity throughout his career. As an undergraduate at Western New England University, Chris was involved in student life and student orientation programming. These experiences lead him to pursue a Master's in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of Vermont, where an internship with the LGBTQA Center shaped his professional career. As an intern, Chris was inspired by being able to apply his studies to real experiences of supporting students struggling with sexual identity.

Chris went on to contribute to LGBT life and programming at Duke and Berklee College of Music before arriving at Vanderbilt. He completed his Ed.D. in Higher Education Policy and Leadership at Vanderbilt’s Peabody College in 2017. As Director of Vanderbilt's K.C. Potter Center, Chris strives to make the Center a community space; responding to the needs of students,  faculty and staff, and creating a positive and inclusive community. Come learn more about Chris's journey to Vanderbilt and what inspires him in his current role.

Dinner will be provided to participants. Please RSVP below if you plan to attend. Feel free to email POPGE@vanderbilt.edu if you have any questions or concerns.

We look forward to seeing you on the 24th!
