When a project requires geospatial data, searching for the right dataset can be confusing and overwhelming. The foundation of every GIS map, app, and analysis is geographic data. This workshop teaches how to define your data needs and evaluate whether a given dataset matches those needs. Learn about sources of data and maps you can use to jumpstart a GIS project. In this workshop, we will discuss the methods and paths to take to find just the right data. Taking this to a broader search for data, participants will begin to find new ways in the never-ending hunt for the perfect dataset.
