  • Location: Central & Divinity Libraries • 419 21St Ave S • Nashville, TN 37240
  • Room: Central Library Community Room

Note: Due to inclement weather, this event has been moved to the Central Library Community Room. Please join us for an abbreviated ceremony honoring our veterans.

Join Vanderbilt's Library and Reserve Officer Training Corps in a flag ceremony on Veterans Day.

Recently discovered, the massive flag was the backdrop to 1960s visits by Martin Luther King, Jr., Stokely Carmichael, Robert Kennedy, and others who spoke at Vanderbilt about social justice in times of political unrest.

Provost Wente will give remarks and a singing of the National Anthem will follow. After the ceremony, the flag will be deposited in the Library's archives where it will be protected for generations to come.

The public is welcome to attend the event. Light refreshments will be served.

Please note that inclement weather-related changes will be posted by 9am on November 12 at www.library.vanderbilt.edu
