IBA Diversity Symposium: Supporting Career Development of Women and Minorities in STEM

  • Location: MRB III 1220 lecture hall
IBA is hosting a diversity symposium about career development for women and minorities in STEM on August 7th from 8:30am-1:30pm, focusing especially on the post-doc-to-faculty transition.
 
There will be speakers from Meharry Medical College, Fisk University, Tennessee State University, and Vanderbilt University. The symposium will be worth 4 RCR credits!
 
Lunch will be provided at the lunch workshop, however space for the lunch portion of the event is limited, so if you are interested in lunch please sign up sooner rather than later. The link to sign up for the event is here : http://j.mp/2maXpoB

• 8:40am-9:40am Session 1: Evidence of a loss of under-represented minorities and women in the postdoc to faculty transition
• 9:40am-10:50am Session 2: Reasons for loss in diversity among faculty
