spark*sessions are an opportunity for DOS Staff Members and campus partners to engage in personal and professional development in a relaxed environment. We’ll explore three popular books, including this year’s Commons Reading that aim to help you become your best self in all areas of your life.
Our goal is to provide you with a different way to engage in personal and professional development. There are so many great books out in the world and we all have to prioritize which we’ll read to add value to our life and our work. The goal of spark*sessions is to encourage you to learn from a text that might not be on your list or not as high of a priority. We hope that participating in our program will open up time for you to engage in other materials or give a new book a chance.
Your only job is to show up ready to engage with an open mind. You’ll leave with main points, follow-up tools, and an action plan to implement lessons learned.
Feel free to join us for our final session this summer. We hope that you’ll take advantage of the opportunity to get outside of your office this summer and learn new ways to inform your life and your work.Thank you to all of those staff members who have joined us for spark*sessions in this summer.
Come as a team or attend on a solo learning mission! Feel free to bring your lunch.
