Mountain dulcimer players and music lovers won't want to miss this special concert coming on 23 June. Widely acknowledged to be the best English dulcimer player in the United Kingdom, master musician and composer Dan Evans starts off his current U.S. tour with a free concert at Turner Hall at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music. After his performance of English finger-style dulcimer playing he will be joined by Nashville's own Stephen Seifert--one of the greatest mountain dulcimer players in the world--for duets following Dan's performance.  After their performance Dan and Stephen will sit with the audience for an informal Q and A.

Before the performance, Nashville's Grand Old Dulcimer Club will have a number of mountain dulcimers for audience members to try out if they've never played this historic, delightful instrument before.

This concert is a free gift to the public by Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music and the artists and is appropriate for all ages.  Doors open at 7 p.m.; performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Donations accepted gratefully at the door.  For more questions, contact thegrandolddulcimerclub.com. Information and directions are on our Calendar page.
