In this talk the major points will cover: a brief history of testing in Brazil with emphasis on the vestibular (a test that all Brazilian students must take after high school that determines what tier of college they are eligible to attend), a major period of pushback in the 1980s/1990s, reforms undertaken, how testing became more streamlined, and how testing currently functions today (used to annually monitor school performance via student scores).
