Join LGBTQI Life and the Black Cultural Center for a half-day of service at BELL Garden Nashville. There is space for 20 volunteers to join us. If you are interested, please e-mail Liv Parks at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you can!
Schedule breakdown for day of service:
8:30am – meet on campus in front of Sarratt Student Center (intersection of Vanderbilt Pl and West Side Row)
8:45am – depart campus and head to BELL Garden (transportation provided by the BCC)
9:30-11:30am – service hours (actual duties not known until day of)
11:45am – depart BELL Garden
12:00-1:30pm – lunch with service friends and staff!
1:30pm – head back to campus and dismissal
BELL Garden has plenty of tools and gloves to share with our volunteers and drinking water is available as well, but it is always a good idea to bring your own bottle. Please be prepared and wear weather appropriate clothes and shoes – make sure to wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Some people enjoy having knee pads or a wide brim hat also.
