Not My Life is an incredibly powerful, shocking, and important documentary that takes viewers into the world of human trafficking, through which millions of children are exploited and abused around the world. Though the film does tell unheard stories of cruelty and torment, it also ultimately provides a message of hope and a call to action. The Vanderbilt University UNICEF Campus Initiative is proud to offer a campus screening of Not My Life followed by a discussion (led by UNICEF USA's Nashville fellow, Phoebe Castelblanco) of the film’s content, the global issue of human trafficking, and our responsibilities in taking action. This event will be held on Tuesday, January 30th in Buttrick 101 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. We strongly encourage anyone interested to attend. Please note that Not My Life contains graphic information that may be considered hard for some viewers to handle.
Please note that all UNICEF Clubs have the public performance rights to show Not My Life.
Minors will be present, but, unless they volunteer or are called on during the discussion, they will only be part of the audience.
