Emotion Processing and Emotional Health in Autism Spectrum Disorders

Depressed mood is a leading cause of clinical impairment in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), particularly for adolescents and adults. This talk provides an overview of our current investigations into pathways to depressed mood in ASD, with emphasis on how emotion processing in ASD may increase risk for emotional health problems in this population.
