This event will kick off the Spring semester for VANL to bring faculty, students, and community members of the two converging
fields to engage in a thought provoking and informative discussion about the ever-growing intersection of neuroscience and law.
Our discussion and facilitated learning activities will explore the many areas where neuroscience and law are intersecting, while
addressing societal implications.
Dr. Owen Jones, other notable faculty and leaders in the field
from both the Vanderbilt Law School and the college of A&S will be leading the discussion by presenting new developments,
insights, and their research.
Joining the faculty will be representatives from the association of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to share their mission and application to neuro-law in their volunteer opportunities. CASA is a national association that supports and promotes court- appointed advocates for abused or neglected children in order to provide children with a safe and healthy environment in permanent homes. This is a great opportunity for interested students to volunteer in an environment filled with both neuroscience and social
