Tired and Torn: Mending Ourselves, Mending Our Children

The community is invited to a discussion on faith and the school-to-prison pipeline that will be facilitated by the Rev. Jennifer Bailey, MDiv'14, of the Faith Matters Network. The panelists are Garlinda Burton, Nashville Freedom School Partnership; Phillis Sheppard, associate professor of religion, psychology and culture; Ira Helderman, a psychotherapist in private practice; and Roosevelt Noble, senior lecturer in sociology and director of the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center. This event will be sponsored by Vanderbilt Divinity School, Public Theology and Racial Justice Collaborative, Faith Matters Network and Churches Uniting in Christ.
