Advances in latent growth modeling: Applications to multiphase and mixture models
Dr. Jeffrey Harring, Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology, University of Maryland, College Park
In this talk, two recent methodological projects related to latent growth modeling will be presented. The first project involves an extension of two-phase regime piecewise models to three-phases. The extension will be discussed in the context of a conditionally-linear latent growth model. The second project introduces a marginal growth mixture model as a competitor to growth mixture models and latent class growth models for modeling population heterogeneity in longitudinal profiles.
