present The Marriage of Figaro
First there was Big Brother, then came The Bachelor, and now Vanderbilt Opera Theatre presents The Marriage of Figaro. This is Mozart’s most-performed opera as you’ve never seen it before! With newly written recitatives and in collaboration with Vanderbilt’s department of Cinema and Media Arts, the audience in Ingram Hall will witness and participate in the final live episode of this latest reality TV smash hit. Will the Count be caught cheating? Will Cherubino really be voted off? And who, exactly, will marry Figaro? Sung in English and fully staged, so be prepared for a rousing, interactive evening of suspense and fun.
Sponsored by the Mary Cortner Ragland Master Series Fund
These performances are presented in memory of Michael Geracioti, through the generous support of Mark Dalton
