Blair String Quartet

Stephen Miahky and Cornelia Heard, violins, John Kochanowski, viola, Felix Wang, cello

The Blair String Quartet presents the world premiere of Michael Alec Rose’s sixth quartet, Rousseaux, with each movement connected to a noteworthy Rousseau — the natual philosopher Jean-Jacques, the Romantic painter Théodore, and the modernist painter Henri. Also on the program are two Czech masterpieces, Antonín Dvořák’s warm and inviting Op. 51 Quartet in E-flat Major, and Bedřich Smetana’s powerful and autobiographical From My Life quartet.

Presented with gratitude to the Blair KeyBoard for its generous support of the Blair School
