Fit as a Fiddle — Don’t Let This Happen to You!

Practicing can be a pain, both figuratively and literally. Physical therapist Howard Nelson gives an important hour-long presentation, showing a case study of internationally acclaimed violinist Pamela Frank to illustrate how faulty movement habits can lead to serious injury, and how movement patterns can be retrained. Nelson uses video to help in his analysis, and can show musicians how to videotape themselves at home. Frank will then answer questions about her injury and recovery.

Frank will also conduct a violin master class at 7 p.m. in Blair Room 2192. Participation in the class is limited to Blair students by audition, but the public is welcome to attend and observe.

This event is free and open to the public. Parking for this event is available for free in West Garage (2500 Children's Way) through the Children's Way entrance.
