Dean Whiteside, conductor

The Nashville Sinfonietta brings together Blair School musicians and their Nashville Symphony colleagues, under the baton of Blair alumnus and acclaimed conductor Dean Whiteside. For this outing, Whiteside wanted to spotlight Blair’s talented faculty performers as featured soloists. Performances will include Franz Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1, featuring pianist Craig Nies; Samuel Barber’s lovely Knoxville: Summer of 1915, with soprano Amy Jarman; and The Passing of the Year by Jonathan Dove, featuring the Vanderbilt Chorale.

This performance is a benefit for Shade Tree Clinic, a Vanderbilt University medical student-run free health clinic. Donations will be accepted at the door but are not required. Parking for this event is available for free in West Garage (2500 Children's Way) through the Children's Way entrance.
