“An Insider’s Guide to Judicial Clerkships,” a talk featuring Samiyyah Ali ’16, Judicial Law Clerk to U.S. District Judge Amul Thapar (2016-17) and U.S. Circuit Judge Sri Srinivasan (2017-18).
A judicial clerkship is the job you never knew you needed. As a clerk, you're uniquely positioned at the right hand of a judge: managing cases, researching disputed legal issues, and drafting court opinions. You will also get an insider's look at what distinguishes the good lawyers from the bad ones. Whether you intend to pursue litigation or transactional work, you will walk into your first day at the firm, nonprofit, or government agency knowledgeable and prepared--because you will already know what the ultimate arbiter of all legal things is looking for. Come hear more about your future job.
This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be served. Cosponsored by the Branstetter Litigation and Dispute Resolution Program and the Judicial Clerkship Program.
Visitors should park in the Terrace Place Garage, spaces 41-92, at the corner of 21st Ave. South and Terrace Place, or the Wesley Place Garage, spaces 52-170, at the corner of 21st Ave. South and Scarritt Place.
