Professor Ulinka Rublack (Cambridge) will be delivering the 2019 Byrn Lecture, entitled "The Triumph of Fashion, 1300-1800," Monday, March 18 at 4:10 p.m. in Vanderbilt's Central Library's Community Room. Professor Rublack has published widely on sixteenth- and seventeenth-century culture as well as on methodological concerns. Rublack has also recently co-edited The First Book of Fashion (2015), which presents the first color edition of the Books of Clothes of Matthäus and Veit Konrad Schwarz, an unparalleled chronicle of fashion innovation and male Renaissance lives between 1500-1570.
